In addition to the "Bark in the Park" event, March 30 at the MC Softball Field, the MC Lady Chaparral Softball Program and the MC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society have set-up donation pools in front of Room 101, in the lobby of the F. Marie Hall Academic Building (MHAB), on the MC main campus.
Through Friday, March 29, they will be accepting toys, food, treats, and kennels for cats and dogs, for the Whiskers and Tails Animal Sanctuary of West Texas.

Join Midland College, The Permian Basin Area Health Education Center and Basin PBS for a special screening of The Providers focusing on rural medicine and the opioid epidemic. The film follows three country doctors in New Mexico. As their personal struggles at times reflect those of their patients, the providers work to reach rural Americans who would otherwise be left without healthcare.
The event is FREE and open to the public.

Dubbed the “rising guru” in the field of political risk by The Economist, Ian Bremmer is the president and founder of Eurasia Group, the leading global political risk research and consulting firm. A distinguished American political scientist, Bremmer’s views are widely acknowledged and accepted by industry experts and policy makers, and featured in prominent publications, including Time magazine, where he is the editor-at-large and foreign affairs columnist. Credited for establishing political risk as an academic discipline, he is also a global research professor at New York University.

Join the MC Anthropology Department and the Midland Archaeological Society as they host this annual symposium. Authors and scholars from throughout the southwest will present papers in the fields of archaeology and anthropolgy.
The Lady Chaps Softball team and MC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society invite the community and their four-legged companions for this annual event to benefit homeless animals. The event is free; however, donations are accepted and will be given to local animal shelters.
