In May 2024, Myanmar refugee Biak Tin Mang earned an associate degree from MC and graduated as the 2nd top student at ECHS@MC. In August, he will be attending UT Austin majoring in Engineering.

Midland College introduces College and Career Connections (C3), a collaborative initiative with Midland Independent School District (MISD) and local philanthropic organizations that aims to instill a culture of college and career readiness starting at the sixth-grade level. C3 seeks to facilitate a smooth transition from high school to the various post-secondary education and career pathways available through Midland College and across the Permian Basin.

Midland College announces the upcoming enrollment deadline for its new Mental Health Technician Program -- the first of its kind in West Texas. Interested individuals have until Monday, July 22, to apply for this comprehensive, two-semester program designed to prepare students and learners to work in the mental health field.

2024 is a monumental year for Ana Tarangoz. She graduated from Midland College in May, will get married in July and will continue to study at MC in August working toward a bachelor's degree in Organizational Management.

Tanta Hulsey obtained RN credentials at Midland College and now has bachelor's and master's degrees and is a nurse manager at MMH.

Midland College Baseball Head Coach Hector Rodriguez was recently named the 2024 WJCAC Baseball Coach of the Year as the All-WJCAC teams were selected by a vote of the conference coaches.

Midland College is proud to announce that two of our Dual Credit Health Science instructors were recently selected as Honor Teachers by two Top 10 Legacy High School students. Each of these top graduates were given the opportunity to select the standout teacher who has left a lasting impression on their life and helped them achieve their academic success.

The Midland College Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mike Oestmann. Mr. Oestmann was sworn in by the Honorable Leah Robertson during the Board meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He will step into the role previously held by retiring Board member Paul Morris.

Haley McNerlin grew up going to MC basketball games and other events at the College. She also graduated from MC and now works as a Pathways Advisor.

Paul L. Morris, Midland College Board of Trustees, Place 4, announced his retirement from the Board effective May 7, 2024. Mr. Morris has served as a member of the Board of Trustees since January 2016.

The University of Texas Permian and Midland College have entered into a partnership to address the growing need for teachers in our region. The MC to UTPB Education Pathway allows students to earn their associate degree at MC and then seamlessly transfer to UTPB to earn their Bachelor’s of Arts in Education. Students will be admitted early in their last semester of their associates’ program so they can transfer. This allows students to transition into their bachelor’s program quickly and effortlessly.
